Testimonials

As a counselor, I’m passionate about helping others and guiding them into a new phase of their lives. I work hard on developing a personal, open and transparent relationship with my clients, and what they say about my services is incredibly important to me. Read the testimonials below to get an idea of the experiences that past clients have had with my services, and get in touch with me today.

"I reached out to Ms. Noor Almaoui after surviving the Beirut explosion on August 4th 2020. She was kind enough to offer her services to anyone who was affected by the blast and needed mental health support. Although I was physically unharmed, the trauma of such a disaster had a huge toll on my mental health. I was overwhelmed with all the sudden changes the event had on my life and started experiencing constant and severe anxiety and panic attacks – which ultimately had an impact on my ability to work, sleep and eat properly.

Ms. Almaoui was extremely empathetic to my story and I felt comfortable speaking to someone who I felt understood my background, language and what I went through. She went beyond the surface and patiently unpacked all of the issues I was facing - kindly providing me with helpful resources to check out and methods to address every area of concern.

Our sessions were virtual, but the quality and attentiveness she provided me was beyond my expectations and I honestly looked forward to speaking with her every week. When I reflect back on my first session versus my last one - I am proud of how far I have come with her help and tools. I feel mentally and physically healthier. Her support and expertise truly helped me understand myself more and assisted me in navigating not only through this difficult time, but in the future as well."

“Noor Almoui is an incredible trainer and I can’t wait to work with her again! A colleague put me in contact with Noor when I was searching for a professional who was knowledgeable about underage substance use and using a harm reduction model when working with youth in foster care. Not only was Noor knowledgeable about both of these topics but she was incredibly thorough in her preparation for the training she provided. Noor was thoughtful and took the time to understand the unique audience of a CASA volunteer. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and warm demeanor made her very easy to work with. Beyond the educational content of the training, Noor provided appropriate anecdotes to help the information sink in and created an atmosphere where people felt comfortable participating in discussion. It was one of the best trainings we’ve had all year!”

“I’ve had the pleasure of being supervised by Noor for a little over a year now and it is with joy that I write this review. Noor is a very thoughtful and supportive supervisor. I think she strikes the right balance between professionalism and realness, and serves as a rolemodel for myself as a supervisee in how to be authentic while also professional. Noor was always a text/email/call away, responding quickly and eager to jump in if necessary. I really appreciated all the support she gave me with an unusually high needs client, finding resources, advocating for needs, calling interdisciplinary meetings, making calls, home visits, etc. I never felt alone and she helped me learn a lot through example. Noor built an alliance with me that really helped me feel safe and grow as a Clinician. I felt safe to ask questions and address areas of weakness. Thank you Noor! I can’t recommend her enough as a supervisor.”
