"I reached out to Ms. Noor Almaoui after surviving the Beirut explosion on August 4th 2020. She was kind enough to offer her services to anyone who was affected by the blast and needed mental health support. Although I was physically unharmed, the trauma of such a disaster had a huge toll on my mental health. I was overwhelmed with all the sudden changes the event had on my life and started experiencing constant and severe anxiety and panic attacks – which ultimately had an impact on my ability to work, sleep and eat properly.
Ms. Almaoui was extremely empathetic to my story and I felt comfortable speaking to someone who I felt understood my background, language and what I went through. She went beyond the surface and patiently unpacked all of the issues I was facing - kindly providing me with helpful resources to check out and methods to address every area of concern.
Our sessions were virtual, but the quality and attentiveness she provided me was beyond my expectations and I honestly looked forward to speaking with her every week. When I reflect back on my first session versus my last one - I am proud of how far I have come with her help and tools. I feel mentally and physically healthier. Her support and expertise truly helped me understand myself more and assisted me in navigating not only through this difficult time, but in the future as well."

“Noor Almoui is an incredible trainer and I can’t wait to work with her again! A colleague put me in contact with Noor when I was searching for a professional who was knowledgeable about underage substance use and using a harm reduction model when working with youth in foster care. Not only was Noor knowledgeable about both of these topics but she was incredibly thorough in her preparation for the training she provided. Noor was thoughtful and took the time to understand the unique audience of a CASA volunteer. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and warm demeanor made her very easy to work with. Beyond the educational content of the training, Noor provided appropriate anecdotes to help the information sink in and created an atmosphere where people felt comfortable participating in discussion. It was one of the best trainings we’ve had all year!”

“I’ve had the pleasure of being supervised by Noor for a little over a year now and it is with joy that I write this review. Noor is a very thoughtful and supportive supervisor. I think she strikes the right balance between professionalism and realness, and serves as a rolemodel for myself as a supervisee in how to be authentic while also professional. Noor was always a text/email/call away, responding quickly and eager to jump in if necessary. I really appreciated all the support she gave me with an unusually high needs client, finding resources, advocating for needs, calling interdisciplinary meetings, making calls, home visits, etc. I never felt alone and she helped me learn a lot through example. Noor built an alliance with me that really helped me feel safe and grow as a Clinician. I felt safe to ask questions and address areas of weakness. Thank you Noor! I can’t recommend her enough as a supervisor.”

"It is my great honor and pleasure to offer a recommendation and testimonial for Noor Almaoui. While I am currently retired and in private practice, in my many decades as an agency administrator, and most recently as the Vice President of all Treatment Programs, seldom have I experienced a trainer as qualified, prepared, articulate and observant as Ms. Almaoui.
Ms. Almaoui was invited to speak to the clinical and paraprofessional staff at McKinley on a number of occasions addressing topics of behavior with foster children, addressing the needs of this population as well as their caretakers, the psychodynamics of the behavior dysregulated children and helping staff to therapeutically care for this population. Ms. Almaoui is sensitive, gentle and thoughtful as she presents; she is quick to understand her audience and what they need as well as how to best communicate to them. Ms. Almaoui brings a well-prepared presentation that educates and enlightens her audience, and at the same time can pivot should the data not be “striking home”. Her experience obviously shines through in these presentations so that the learner feels almost present in her examples and vignettes.
Ms. Almaoui makes herself available both pre and post her presentations, so that she stays well within the anticipated agenda during the presentation and creates access for those who have additional questions following her presentation. Her attitude is most positive and yet not ambiguous as she presents theory and practice. I was delighted to recruit her for training and would continue to do so were I in a position to do so."

“Noor Almaoui has been a steady stream of light for us as parents and for our child. We came seeking support during that very emotionally delicate and complicated time of life known as middle school.
Noor is thoughtful and kind. She is a gentle and highly intelligent guide. She gives our son space to do the work of honest self-discovery as an individual and offers many invitations for all members of the family to grow together in our own time. Simply put, she is the best!”

"Noor Almaoui has been my daughter’s therapist for a little over two years now. My daughter was in a crisis state at the age of 14 when she first started seeing Noor. She had moderate to severe depression and was self harming. I am so thankful that I was referred to Noor.
On my initial meeting with Noor, I knew right away that she was a right fit for my daughter. She was very compassionate while I poured out my heart to her about my daughter .
My daughter has stopped self harming and is doing much better. Noor has been working with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with her and it has been the best type of therapy for my daughter. She looks forward to seeing Noor every week as she knows she’s making progress.
I highly recommend Noor to anyone who has a child going through anxiety or depression. We as a family appreciate everything she has done for us."
